  • Viva-Voce: This is an oral test to assess the suitability of the candidate for the post. The viva-voce carries 100 marks and the minimum marks required to pass the viva-voce are 40% for general candidates and 35% for SC/ST candidates. The viva-voce will test the candidate’s general knowledge, grasp of principles of law and suitability for appointment as Civil Judge.
  • Computer Test: This is a qualifying test to assess the proficiency of the candidate in computers. The computer test carries 25 marks and the minimum marks required to pass the computer test are 10 marks. The computer test will cover topics such as word processing, spreadsheets and presentation software.

The final selection of the candidates will be based on the aggregate marks obtained in the main written examination and viva-voce. The candidates who are selected will be appointed as Civil Judges in Karnataka High Court subject to verification of documents and medical fitness.
