The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is a government organization that conducts various examinations for recruiting candidates to various posts in different departments. Some of the exams conducted by SSC are:


  • SSC Selection Posts (Phase-XI): This is an online exam for 5369 vacancies in various posts such as Junior Engineer, Assistant, Stenographer, Technician, etc. The online application started on 06-03-2023 and will end on 27-03-2023. The exam will be held in June/July 2023.
  • SSC Multi Tasking Staff (MTS) & Havaldar: This is an online exam for 12523 vacancies of MTS and Havaldar in various ministries and departments. The online application started on 30-01-2023 and will end on 28-02-2023. The exam will be held in April/May 2023.
  • SSC Combined Graduate Level (CGL): This is an online exam for various posts such as Assistant Audit Officer, Inspector, Assistant Section Officer, etc. The final result of CGL 2021 was declared on 17-03-2023. The tentative answer keys of CGL Tier-II 2022 were uploaded on 14-03-2023.

To apply for any of these exams, you need to visit the official website of SSC  and register yourself with your basic details. Then you can fill the online application form and pay the fee of Rs. 100/- (except for Women, SC, ST, PwD & ESM candidates who are exempted). You also need to meet the eligibility criteria such as age limit, educational qualification and nationality as per the notification of each exam.

The age limit for SSC Selection Posts (Phase-XI) exam varies depending on the level and post you are applying for. The crucial date for the calculation of the age is 1st January 2023. The age relaxation will be given as per the rules of the government.

  • Income Tax Inspector: 18-30 years

  • Sub-Inspector in Central Armed Police Forces: 20-25 years
  • Assistant Section Officer in Central Secretariat Service: 20-30 years
